was looking for a jacket for the upcoming season. i have tried on ICON's superduty jacket, and it was comfortable without being too big. i was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with ICON gear. my buddy has some of their boots and like them, was just looking for any other input.

I just got a new Joe Rocket Phoenix 3.0 for the summer and fuckin love it. Never tried an Icon though.

    Haven't heard of them..
    I have a nice '04 series A* leather and A* summer mesh.
Also a Dririder arctic for winter.

They are all very nice and very reasonably priced.

mesh is a waste $$ IMO ... i've seen way to many shreded mesh jackets ... its false security, leather all the way

A* has great leather gear and doens't have the "bling bling" look that ICON goes for, which is good IMO

It is only mesh where it needs to breathe.. Cordura where it needs to slide.

Leather does not work so well during australian summers.

I'm split on mesh. I've never seen a mesh jacket fail and I've seen several falls from mesh. I have HEARD of mesh failing but tend to believe what I see and so far I've never seen on tear through.

Worst I've seen with mesh so far is someone get "burned" from sliding inside a joe rocket phoenix that was too big for them.

I prefer Hein Gericke for clothing. Sidi for boots. Held (kangaroo) for gloves.
