I usually row up to 185x5 or sometimes 205x a few. I'm not very good at it :o

I basically never feel it in my lats anyway

That's a shitload of weight. Drop the weight and up the volume a bit IMO.

edit: I know, it's a lot for ME.

just man up and get through it. I'm not a big fan of squats, but they are a great exercise, so I just get through them. and when I'm done, I feel better for having done them cause I know I did man up, not pussy out and do something else.

I can get 185x5 with pretty good form. just I feel it more in my lower back and legs after squatting/benching than in my lats. I never feel shit in my lats from bb rows :o

    i am too.

but the problem is is that you're not feeling what you're supposed to be working out. just add a couple more reps to your warm up and see whats wrong..focus on using your back

concentrate on contracting you lats et al. I found an old problem of mine is that I'd just concentrate on moving the weight, not the muscles. I dropped the weight, started focusing on muscle contraction and got better

that looked like a powerclean to me. in fact that looked like a power clean+squat.

as for rows, you could try the pendlay rows. it's basically barbell row but instead of 45 degree angled upper body, you're at 90 degrees and you rest the weight on the ground between reps. it takes some of the pressure off your lower back.

it's not a touch and go but a "reset" on the ground like deadlifts.

I think these rows are supposed to be close to 90. I find that I kinda fall forward at 90ish. that whole reseting thing might help a lot. I'll look into those :bigthumb:

@ Drewdog: I try to get as close to 90ish as possible while still keeping my lower back arched. It's pretty tiring on my legs/lowerback
