went to jackson arms today for an hour or two with OTer Skeletor (doesnt visit WMD ever, and is serving a self requested ban that hes trying to blow fazlay to get removed :mamoru: )

    brought my sig 226, he rented a M&P .40, and i rented a Kahr PM9.

like the kahr, i was grouping really well at 7yds, and it fit pretty well in my hand. it's a little on the small side, but it would be a carry gun anyway so i'm not worried. did some reading when i got home and it's almost identical to the kahr CW9 which is what i'd be getting :bigthumb:

M&P was nice, but i would prefer it in 9mm or .45. i think something was up with their ammo (got reloads) because it took 2-3 firing pin strikes on some of the rounds to get them to go off :dunno: what that was about. M&P crew, any input? it was a nice feeling/looking gun but the firing pin/primer problem threw us off.

sig was great as usual :coold:

on a somewhat related note, what the fuck is up with all the ~20 year old asians that work/hang out in that place? they had fifth element on, and there were like 3 people just sitting watching TV. half of them had blackhawk serpa holsters :mamoru: one dude had a 1911 at his 3 o'clock in a serpa, then a second 1911 at 6 o'clock in a small-of-the-back holster :hsughno:

didn't take any pics, if you want to see my sig again i'll post it, or just search my threads cause i whore that pic like no tomorrow :mamoru2:

    :wavey:

cliffs: went to jackson arms shooting range, rented a kahr PM9 and M&P .40. liked them both, read the thread

I really like how little recoil the M&P 40 seems to have.

they always have a bunch of people working there, and they're quite often watching random videos/playing with the snakes/just hanging out. They're all nice guys though.

What makes CW9 so much cheaper than PM9? Looks pretty same.

well, instead of having TWO fullsize steel guns, why not ditch numero dos and carry 1-2 more mags? :hsughno:

    p.s. and get less-shitty holsters.

this is the comparison spreadsheet from kahr's website:

as you can see, the CW9 and P9 are very simila, with the PM9 being a bit more compact than both.

let it also be noted that the P9 is 8% shorter, 24% slimmer, and 20% lighter than a Glock 26

meh... they're all nice guys there, and when it's slow, they often don't have much more to do that watch movies and clean their guns.

    they don't usually do that...

in all the times I've been in there, I've never seen any of them with more than one full sized 1911 on their hip or behind the back... never 2

I'll have to hit up Jackson sometime. I have found a whopping total of 2 other gun enthusiasts at my college. Details at 11:00.
