This new API seems very useful. iPhone/BB App could utilize this!

It's all about the G1... sweet phone and open source. I have a demo sitting on my desk right now :noes:

I buy cell phones for a living... as far as it compares to an iphone and blackberries.. i would say the G1 is way better, the only thing it is missing is enterprise e-mail, but there is a 3rd party app for it..

Other than that... best phone I have seen come in my office yet.

Well I own a Tilt, have tried an N95, and barely played with an iphone.

Kinda want something less bulky than the Tilt. I'm tied to AT&T though. Your thoughts?

Tilts are nice. How long have you been with AT&T?

Probably end of 07 with a 2 year contract, which is when I got the Tilt. $150 :coold:

Finally applied my corporate discount, and I think it's $15 off a month. Shoulda done that shit long ago.

Problem is, some of the keys on the keypad are losing their sensitivity, and there is a dent in the touch screen. I don't text too much with it, and don't use IM with it since it drains the battery when using 3g. Basically I use it as a phone, and a GPS (iguidance ftw). Just got an mp3 player, so I figure I could get something new. Possibly a blackberry that isn't too huge.

Most people don't know that you can call up your service provider if you have been with them for more than 90 days and request your unlock code for your phone...

So if you are going to buy a new phone, request your unlock code, unlock your phone, then sell it on ebay as an unlocked phone and buy a new one.

A lot of times too, you can call their customer support and tell them you are thinking about moving carriers, and ask if they have any promotions. Sometimes they will give you a deal on equipment to keep your business.

I'm pretty sure the Tilt is unlocked. I had a few people on here ready to pay $200 for it as-is. :dunno: Either way, I'm sure it isn't difficult to unlock it, since you can throw pretty much any rom on it.

If your corporation pays cell bills (like mine) I would try to sign up for that shit... even if you don't qualify.

I already did. I think it applied to my bill already, since I saw a $15 credit today. Which brings it down to a nice $50, after the $20/month data plan :coold:

I'm happy with AT&T either way. Just my phone is getting annoying.. the screen dent causes me to put people on hold all the time, by accident.

WMATA needs to do that. Used to be a nice webapp to see train times but then they changed their site and closed it all up from what I have seen so far. Would have to scrap each stations site now.
