Not sure if anyone here saw the NBC Nightly News tonight or not, but the BRAC federal base-closing commission voted to close an Air National Guard base in Pennsylvania and move their planes to another base in state. Then a federal judge in PA ruled that the BRAC commission can't do that and ultimately the PA governor has ultimate authority over the PA ANG and NG. Now it's turned into a huge mess over who has the final say as to what happens to the planes and personnel at this base, and regardless of what happens, the end result will have a big impact on the NG in all 50 states.

I didn't look for an article yet, but this is pretty interesting.

states should have the first say in what goes on with the national guard. They are in fact, the countries standing militia. Im supposed to be switching over to the guard any day now.
