    I'm trying to create a batch file that will install programs to a remtoe computer when run. Now the problem I keep having is that when I run the batch file from a remote computer it keeps giving me this error

    CMD.EXE was started with the above path as the current directory.
    UNC paths are not supported. Defaulting to Windows directory.{/I]

    And then none of the files are run
    It gives me a file not found error

    The batch file is just a normal windows batch and looks like this

    @echo c:\install\file.exe
    @echo pause
    @echo c:\install\anofile.exe -s -d

    any help on this would be apreciated.

    All of the machines that are going to be running the batch are XP

    First I would put the batchfile on each of the computers. Then I would use the task scheduler to run the batch file on each computer. You can execute a batchfile with a network drive letter, but not a UNC name.
