because i didnt reenlist, i put in requests for 4 open sets of orders that require you to get a new NEC (job code/school) before going because they are the only place you need them, and the reply was, member needs to utilize 1428 NEC stateside, which is a garbage NEC that is only needed on a handfull of old ships

basically he told me to fuck myself and that im stuck here until EAOS :sadwavey:

That sucks, when do you get a new detailer, I haven't talked to my new detailer since I won't be in my window till the end of this year. Have you tried seeing if your Chief or Dept Head could help you out?

will be stuck with this detailer for the entire rest of my transfer window...and one of the biggest reasons i am trying to transfer, is because my chief/dpt head do not help me or anyone really...:o

Wow. I just looked up 1428 NEC. Yeah, that would limit your choices of where you could go.

Have you thought about being released from your current rate for a special program like recruiting or instructor?

tried releasing to crossrate to seabee or IS while they were wide open with a PTS package and it came back saying reenlist in rate only cause they bumped SRB for my rate back up to 4.0 like a month after i submitted...so got told to eff myself on that too...and i have a ARI mast case in under 36 months so i cant do any special programs...plus im e4 still after the mast :wtc:

If it's anything like the reserves, the command actually has to approved the request before you can even talk to a recruiter

yep, they like to lie and use the whole "vital to the ship" bullshit with that worthless NEC....im vital because i work hard and get shit done...

tried and denied again, they put out an IA request SPECIFICALLY for my rate and NEC to go to djibouti and it was denied for the previously mentioned reason...

wow, i just got an email cc'd to me from the detailer that was sent to my command career counselor (guy who coordinates orders negotiations for e5 and below) and to my cheif, asking about my evals, my warfare pin status, and my ability to raise my PT scores...im about 45-60 days away from getting my warfare pin on my own, out of my own initiative, and after my chief told our division already that we would all be qualified during this coming deployment that i dont transfer until after, he told my CCC that i was not motivated enough to get qualified :squint: fucking bastard

    :mamoru:

My dad has been in that Battalion:rofl:

Ironically enough...he was part of a detail that deployed to Pearl Harbor on his last deployment before retiring:rofl:

and I wouldn't be too terribly excited about being in a Seabee Battalion, especially in Gulfport.
