I still have some residue from the base stickers on my car. Not too worried about it either given the shape and appearance of the car.

I do not have any problems with it.. however they said they are not longer giving out stickers.. but your ID should do.

When I had my motorcyle, I went to a hobby/craft store and bought some paper thin magnets almost as thin as paper..I then cut the retangle out of the magnet, the exact size of the sticker and put the sticker on the magnet...then I just slapped it on the tank everytime I was going through the gate. Worked well. :dunno:

It's not a matter of glass, I already bust my ass trying to keep my car clean and taken care of, and the last thing I want to do is give some faggot liberal fuck any more reason to mess with my shit.

Same goes for back at camp lejeune as well. They physically walk out with you to your car and stick it on. But the civilian that walked out with me seen that I had a bike and said "I know how you bikers are particular about your motorcycles so I'll just let you put it where ever you like" so he just handed it to me and said have a nice day. ;)

Shit, here in Belgium not only do we get a sticker but our plates are a whole different color. So if you go out of town and park somewhere all the plates are red and BAM!!!! your the only one with blue plates. It really makes you not want to leave your car anywhere.

They check your ID anyways so why in the fuck do they need to see your sticker.....Never made any sense...and on my home station you have to get a temp permit if you bring on an unreistered car :hay:

There is more to the sticker than just confirming that you are a member of the military. They check your insurance, license, registration, etc when you get the sticker. So it is a way of making sure that your car is legal to drive, as well as authorized to enter the base.

I can't believe the bitching about a frigging sticker.

But anyone notice the Army is trying to save money on their decals? They used to issue the 4 stickers, dod #, base, Month, and Year. They would fit together perfectly.

Now they are issuing dod #, base, and month/year. And they fit together like shit.

I guess they are saving alot of money

then why don't they re-issue stickers once your insurance/registration/licence expires? :coolugh:
