I have shot a couple, not a bad firearm but they only can get you a 2 MOA grouping. But with 10 rounds one is bond to hit something. Spray and pray.

This is my personal choice for a .50 BMG . Mine weighs in at 38 lbs is over 60 inches long and give you 12,000 FT lbs of energy at the barrel. I use 750 grain A Max bullet with 215 grains of 5010 powder. I get sub MOA ( 2" 5 shot group at 500 yards) Yes it kicks a little. In the picture it hard to tell its real size.

Oh yes I do hunt deer with it at 500-600 yards. I go for head shots.

I have a vid of me shooting an M82A1 off-hand. Damn, it was heavy with a full mag. I had already shot about 25 rounds out of it prone and it was getting hot, so I stood up and fired off 2 rounds. My friend has a Black Diamond scope on it. The Night Force or US Optics were to expensive for him. I may try to post the vid if I remember.

I've never understood the logic behind a camoflage stock and a polished stainless steel, highly reflective barrel and scope :uh:

 cept for the head shot comment. Head shots are not kill shots, and the animal always suffers. last weekend a guy I know shot two deer, both in the head and both with a 45-70 at about 50 yards. Both deer took several minutes to die. The bullets went right through the both the brains.

You can't beat a double lung shot.

A 750 grain Hornady A-Max will not leave a head on a deer, if they do what a little 55gr. out of a .223 does to a ground hog. I can't imagine a deer head left after being shot with a .50 bmg.

...sorta leaves taking a trophy right out, doesn't it.. :o

Its not camoflage, its laminated hard woods. Stronger than a single peice. It just appears to be a camo pattern after all the wood work.

As for the head shots its a instant kill, I dont use a double lung because of the meat damage. Even a 300 win mag will tear up alot of meat. I dont worry about a" trophy" kill. I hunt to fill the freezer. Points dont mean crap to me.

this is the Waxman video. It was made to show congress the damage a .50 BMG can cause. I reality it has helped sell more .50 that it has banned

I would LOVE to get a .50. They are very cost-prohibitive though.

Wtf is wrong with bringing threads back?

:urg: if someone does a "repost" then they get bitched at, if they search, and bring back an old thread, they get bitched at. wtf?

So don't make reposts and don't revive old threads. Why is that so difficult to understand?
