Barely eating, is there even a point to lifting?

    I was lifting on a 3 day, full body split most of the last school year with some cardio...my main goal was losing fat I didn't really care about gaining visible muscle mass.

    I stopped working out over the summer, and also started this medication that completely killed my appetite. Like yesterday I estimated around 1100 cals and I was forcing myself to eat.

    So of course I'm losing weight :bigthumb: although probably mostly muscle :hs: when I go back to the gym will the lifting even remotely help at all with fat loss if i'm not eating enough? :x:

    1100 cals = way too little either way.

    :hsd: Yeah I know, I will try...I always tried for 1300+ even when I was actually trying to lose weight (from 155->135ish)

    Lifting will force you to burn MORE calories, but it should at least help you preserve muscle somewhat.

    Start fucking eating.

    5'9.5", 129 lbs

    130 used to be my goal weight but I don't mind if I go lower.

    No sympathy for people who have no appetite/are hardgainers. Butch the fuck up and eat. Don't even worry about eating clean, just eat.

    Even so, you're a twig. I agree 100% with Elfing. You get used to it after a little while. I sat at 135-140 for a long time and bitched and moaned about not being able to put on weight.

    I was 140 January 1st. I sit at 170 today.

    Well, you'll lose some of the CNS adaptation you benefited from but I guess everyone agrees : just fucking eat.

    Count your calories, watch your protein, and thank the fucking Lord you have no appetite :squint: :rofl: If it really sucks, make shakes or something that's easier to get down.
