I was just curious to see out of all you guys how many of you go to a barber shop and how many go to a stylist to get your hair cut?

I've been going to a barber shop all my life and they've only been able to do a good job about half the time. I went to a stylist which cost about 10x as much (hightlights etc. included) and it was hands-down the best haircut i've ever had. I dunno if I can ever go back to a barber now.

Stylist only, but it only costs about $25-30.

$11 because I know the lady. But I usually give her a $5 tip, and I tell her that she charges too little for men's cuts and she doesn't care.

The other people at the place charge $16. And they don't cut hair as well. I think they are just out of beauty school and they have no freakin idea what to do. there's 2 other people that cut hair well there, and well, they charge $18.

I used a barber for 5-6 years until I moved and had my friend cutting my hair, since it is one step away from bic-ing it , I dont know if it matters.

    local barber shop.

    I love the atmosphere.

I seriously love the "manliness" of it. The discussions about pussy and watching the game are awesome.

Plus, I love it when they all talk about "fags" or whatever. Little do they know that I'm a fag. I feel like I've penetrated their sacred little gathering. It's great because at the barber shop, guys will freely say things that they'd NEVER say on the street.

Plus, you get a cheap haircut.

I born into a stylist, a fag named Ruby, and I loved him. I was the only lil boi in grade school with both high and low lit hair. But then I had this "macho" moment (or, so my family thought), and demanded to go to the barber shop. [The reality is, I was interested in this guy my sister was flirting with. He become my barber, and he started making home visits to cut my hair, but alas, his interest was in my sister.] So he did my hair for years...

But now, I see a the #1 “Locist” on the cost, named Azziza. She is awesome, and worth the $75 a visit that she charges. Thus my lovely manicured locks.

...does it help that in college, I got away with showing someone how to do it, and only paid $35 a week during the school year? I didn't wanna keep driving the 2 hours to get my hair done (did that for about 5 months).

I'll go with what Sonic said. Supercuts.

Last time they were booked and I wanted it cut right then so I tried the place my mom and sister go to. Price was about the same (~$15) but she did a great job. It ended up costing me $20 but it was well worth it.
