just wanted to know if anyone used it and has actually had success with these types of things.... or is it a total waste of money :dunno:

If you find a niche that there's a market for, and find a way to reach that market, why would you send all your profits to ebay :dunno:

I haven't used BANS, but i do use phpbay pro, a wordpress plugin that puts the eBay auctions in your blog posts and it's one of my biggest money makers.

I haven't tried BANS but like Mak10 mentioned, there are at least two wordpress plugins that are at least half as much as BANS and will work well as well. With wordpress you have the added bonuses of all the other plugins and free templates as well as pretty decent SEO already built in.

    An example:
    http://allwiineeds.com

    More info here:

BANS does have a pretty solid "fan base" and their support forums seem to be pretty busy so that could be worth the extra cost but I've been liking the ease of doing the wordpress thing so far myself.

You can also try out the free version of phpBay which gives you basic options, the pro lets you do a few cool things like specify which category to search on ebay, which words to exclude, stuff like that. But the basic one will let you search ebay for a keyword and determine how many you want to show up.

I also use phpbay pro, only as a stand alone API. I bring in around $600 / month from CJ and eBay alone.

so what is the difference between phpbay pro and BANS? I really don't have much experience with this kind of stuff, so I'm leaning towards BANS....

BANS is an ebay store basically.. you pick a niche/keywords and it creates a store for you. phpbay is a wordpress plugin that allows you to put ebay auctions in your blog posts. You can either choose to just use wordpress as your theme and make it all ebay ads for products or like i do, i post 1-3 ebay ads at the bottom of each post based on what that post is for. That way you have good content as well as some ebay ads. I only recently started messing with phpbay pro about 2 months ago and it's working out great, definitely paid itself off. And like i said there is a free version that you can try out.

eBay has brand name recognition, payouts are good, and conversions are good. Top 50 affiliates average 1 million/year so shooting for even a percentage of that is a lot of money.

They are releasing BANS 3.0 this week. It looks like we'll be able to cloak the eBay rover links and get other goodies in the new version.

yeah , i was gonna hold out and wait for v3.0, but you get free upgrades for life, so i figured why not. phpbay pro has been able to mask the rover links for a while, which is nice.
