All I want to find is a 15" desktop LCD with 1280x1024 resolution. Can I find one? No. I can find 15" laptop LCDs with 1280x1024, and I can find 15" desktop LCDs with 1024x768, and I can find 17" desktop LCDs with 1280x1024. But not what I actually need. Is it that uncommon to have space constraints? Sheesh.

Anybody know where I can find what I'm looking for? It doesn't have to be pretty, it just has to be a standalone LCD that measures 15" diagonally and has 1280x1024 resolution.

    You can't use a 17" lcd?

  3. You are really that tight for space that an extra 2" diagonally will kill you?

No desk is worth keeping if it only lets you use a 15" lcd.

It's not getting installed in a desk. It's getting installed in a rack that uses a VESA-compliant hanger to attach the screen to. 15" is the absolute maximum it will hold.

What I don't get is, there are laptops shipping with 12" screens that support 1400x1050 resolution. Why have none of these LCDs been installed in standalone cases?

The manufacturers hate you. They want you dead.

If it was me, I would take up hacking and bring them all down.

    Just sayin.

I'm pretty sure that the Proview PL15B does.

For both screens, I see conflicting specs online. Very frustrating. Basically I'd have to buy one to find out what it's capable of.
