Trying to find a good (cheap) wide lens..

    Opinions on..

    Sigma 30mm 1.4?
    Canon 24mm 2.8?

    Other options?

On a crop body, neither of those are really wide, but for what you want to spend, the Canon is probably going to be your best bet. For about $400 you can get the Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 which is a fantastic lens if you don't already have a good wide-tele walk-around.

Leaning towards the 24 just for the price factor.. eventually I want a 10-22 as well.

    came here to post this.

    Love that Tamron.

and for reeeaaaallly wide, all reviews are pointing to the Tokina 11-16 2.8. Although i've never seen it IRL yet.

Yeah that 11-16 is generating lots of buzz. Im tempted to sell my 12-24 f4 for it.
