The dell Inspiron 6400? I've read good reviews...and it's jacked with 2gb ram now

    specs...

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor T7200 (4MB Cache/2.00GHz/667MHz FSB)
15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA Display with TrueLife™
FREE Upgrade from 1GB to 2GB Shared DDR2 SDRAM :eek3:
    120GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive
    8X CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability

    I can't find a laptop that compares in the 1200 cdn (1067 USD)range

been looking mostly at futureshops selections and I mean I can find a nicer display but HDD, ram and processor at the price range?

or is another brand more dependable?

IIRC, the Inspiron 6400 is the Small Business model of the Dell Home E1505. You may want to spec both out and see if there are any price differences.
