Hey guys.. i have a WRT54G router with HyperWRT on it right now. I have a subtenant that keeps downloading and is slowing down the bandwidth ALOT! I've tried setting up QOS to throttle his Ethernet port as well as his MAC address but the QOS doesn't seem to work. Is there any other firmwares that will help me throttle his bandwidth to like 10kB download and upload?

I don't know what programs he uses so I can't really block the port. Also, i'm not sure how to use log function.

    TIA,

I use DD-WRT to give my room mates the highest priority for bandwidth allocation so that my constant downloading doesn't affect them and their normal usage.. You can do that the other way around, though the only option I saw in terms of specific numerical throttling was for the entire connection (to increase performance by setting your speed limit slightly lower than the actual connection speed)
