ive been to a few gyms beofre i liked 24 hour fitness the best.
But bally's has the least amount of weightlifting equipment and the ratio of people to equiment is ridiculous

does anyone agree? or is it just the one here in greenbelt, md?

I've been going to Bally's for 7 years consistently but on and off closer to 10 years. I've been to some better gyms.. some worse ones too.

I've always avoided going during rat race hours though.

i work out there, but don't go during the busy ass hours.

signed up on 9-9-99, and i pay $108/yr. Show me another gym that i can go to for $9/mo, that has about 200 gym's nationwide. :coold:

    Truth.

The last commercial gym I was at was a World Gym but it was small and the people there were semi-hardcore and the owner didn't give a fuck about chalk or deadlifts or any of that shit. Plus it had a GHR. Too bad it closed down because the management were fucking tards. I dunno what I'm going to do this summer.

ive lifted in places like that. i think NYSC is that way too.
the good thing is that no one really uses the free weights in those places, so if you take all of em and pile em up, its about enough for a workout.

you are about 30 minutes away from a serious hardcore gym in Redmond.

Eastside Gym - worth the drive, for sure.

I'm going there tonight to check out the place with a guest membership...how is it? My friend who is getting me the pass said that there really aren't many hardcore people there...just people training for sports and such.

I go to one of the mid-level 24 hour fitness "sport," and its by far the best gym. Even when I'm in another part of town or staying at a bitches house and go to the "exclusive" or "super sport" ones, they never have the equiptment I want...they do always have more db's though.

I was on the bench with no spot at one in yuppy town, and some dude freaked out because I wasn't using collars on the bar. He was all, "you have to use the collars if you are going to bench."

I am away on vacation and got a week pass at Lifestyle Fitness in Bradenton, Florida... It's the best damn gym I have ever been too. It's huge to begin with and has like more than 50 machines, not counting treadmills, stairmasters, etc. plus dumbells up to 150lbs, 3 benchpresses, every machine you can think of. It was great, I wish I had one at home although it is kind of expensive.
