how exactly does a ball head attach to the tripod? I have a bogen super clamp that I want to attach a camera to, but have some ability to move the camera round a bit. Will the ball head attach to the stud on the super clamp?

the ballheads I've seen have a screw mount, I think they're 5/8" or maybe 1/4".

went and picked one up at lunch to mount on my super clamp... and wouldn't you know.. the screw mount is to large for the screw on the superclamp and I don't have time to go and get another screw before I need it tonight. :hs:

    no gaffer tape either:wtc:

o well.. I can get by using my tripod. I had planned on clamping my 20D up high to use as a 2nd wireless cam, but I won't be able to put it where I want now... but I'll still be able to use it as a wireless....
