Most definitely a beast. What's up with his form? It looks kind of strange, like he dips his back down at the bottom. Is there some signifigance to that?

when you are at Ed's level, you dont really need to worry about 'form.' He has tweaked everything to work for him. I'm assuming his age is catching up with him and a lot of it is from flexibility issues and adjustments from injuries... causing him to come forward in the hole. I've noticed the closer your stance, the more forward you come in the hole. Its not really an issue with Ed because his back is so damn strong. Hes pulled 900 before.

So if your back is strong enough it isn't really an issue if you use it a little to get a squat up on a heavy attempt?

um... no. At your level ignore that. Stick to proper form. You'll notice a lot of the top level guys have less than perfect form... but they all started with good form. When you get to be a 1000lb squatter or 900lb deadlifter like Ed, you can do whatever the fuck you want.

If you are a normal gym rat, ignore PL form
