I know... and I don't like it. :wtc:

(another reason I'm taking more pics these days. I've been slacking)

Bare flash, manual, 1/8th power... rest is in the exif (which is intact). ;)

If you have a Nikon... it should sync at 1/250th. And if you can only go to 1/60th, that shouldn't change your exposure... just see more background. Aperture was at 7.1 (I think)

Nice shot, how is your luck using CLS in the sun? Or did you use another form of trigger (cable or PW?)

Any good tips for photographing kids?

My best friend asked if I would take some pics of his kid and I figured be a good time to learn and hopefully he gets a couple good pictures for free.

He is two years old too.

    I have:
    SB-900
    SB-600
two stands and two convertible umbrellas

I was thinking of shots and I like something along this, bubbles, and popping him on the four wheeler. Any other poses that are not overdone (i.e. the senior picture looking behind you shot)?

if you mount the flash on the camera, you can even have a faster shutter than 1/200

unless it's late in the day, it'll be pretty tough.

I might have to hit you up on some PS help on another picture soon.

I know. He's growing pretty quick. :hs:

he just started drooling like crazy again, probably because his new molars are coming in. He hasn't been as bad the last few months though.
I probably would say keep it simple. I hate setting up, tearing down, and hoping to get a good shot of a kid when I know they won't cooperate. Kids are tough to shoot.

I believe that's the type of grass... Zoyzia, right? I love it. There's a strain that grows in NJ, looks awesome, IMO. Stays nice and tight, and turns straw yellow and keeps it's form instead of dying like regular grass.

I want to sod my lawn with it.

I guess I never thought about it... because in Phoenix, the rocks in my front yard didn't turn colors in the winter. :mamoru:

Most people in TX use St. Augustine grass... no clue why. :dunno:
