It's just a 10D but it'll save the hassle of having to switch out lenses all the time. I'll put the 70-200 f/2.8L IS on the 10D and leave the Tamron 28-75 on the 350D. I was going to get a 1D but I'm going to wait for the next 1D series camera to come out and pick up a 1D MKII once the prices drop to ~ $2100-2300.

The extra width on the 10D makes it feel so much more comfortable than the 350D.

Actually, after testing it out, I'm making it my main. Image playback & record times are slower, along with a slower start up but I can live with that.

No. I like the extra width for my right hand. The 350D is light but they made it *too* small.

    $515 shipped.

    I could've bought a 20D but if I did, I knew I would regret it once I bought a 1D MKII, but I could use the 20D as a backup lol.

if the 350D was the same size, or similar to the others, I would probably have kept that camera over getting my 20D. It just feels so much better, you are right.

i love the dial. after upgrading from mthe 300D to the 20D.. the dial is so nice. and the load time and start up time and buffer is so much better on the 20d over the 300d.

I'm sooo close to picking up a 20D (or 30D, actually the 30D is really tempting, but i dunno.... 20D's can be had cheap now :o)

how much was the 10 if you don't mind?

I don't really have the load/start up time differences (350D) but the dial and overall size is really really getting me now.

was the xt your first slr? I started with a rebel g, then a digital rebel and when the xt came out I held one and put it right back. You are right...wayyyy too small after you feel a larger camera. Now don't do that with full frame viewfinders becasue you will buy one :o

Using my EOS-1 is the main reason why I want to switch :wtc: (the XT was my first SLR)

At first the 20D felt a little "light" for it's size compared to the XT, I dunno. Plus I was a n00b and really wasn't that fast with my camera so it didn't seem like a big deal. Now it's taking everything in my from just buying a 30D from Costco.

I like some of the upgrades the 30D offers, I don't really see myself using the 1/3 ISO 'stops' but meh. The thing that's owning me is the rebate for the XT and 5D but no love for the 20D/30D (which I can understand.... kind of :o)

I also have big hands and for a while I was used to the XT and didn't have a problem but then started using my 1 and playing with 20D's and crrraaaaappppp :(

oh and yes, the second I put my 17-40 on my EOS-1 I was doomed :wtc:
full frame digital is just too expensive for me right now :(

megapixels aren't everything. The 4 mp on the 1d > 6 mp anything else. It's the quality that counts, not the quantity.

    $515 shipped.

I'm putting the Tamron on the 10D and the 70-200 on the 350D.

I'm seeing 20Ds going for $800s on fredmiranda.com so it's a decent bargain but my upgrade plan is to get the 1D MKII and keep the 10D as the backup. I couldn't justify spending $800-900 on the 20D to only use for a few months as the primary, then making it my backup. I'm not sure what I'll do with the 350D; I'll probably give it to my sister.
