pretty happy with it so far, I think the artist did a nice job of taking my shitty little sketch and making it work :)

oh and i'm still trying to figure out where to take it next... probably shaded blackwork rather than color to fill it in... and a praying zombiesh/dia-muertos virgin mary in the bottom crest that's blank right now

for the top i have no idea at this point... i want a big design to span shoulder-to-shoulder, originally was thinking a von dutch flying eyeball but that doesn't really suit the rest of the design well :dunno:

and to go with the theme i'll get this text somewhere, probably on the side/ribcage, it's a shakespeare quote from macbeth: "Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more; it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing" :naughty:

That's fucking sweet. I think splashes of color would really make that thing pop.

update, more tattooing... just a bit this time... the bottom crest was filled in with an undead virgin mary:

    still haven't decided

    (1) whether i'll leave it as just line art, adding line details, or color it fully (grayscale? color?)

    (2) what's going to go up top across my back between the shoulders... i'm thinking some sort of sun/sky pinstriping/line-art, maybe in red ink instead of black, but i haven't seen anything i really like yet. looking for ideas...

I'd do color with the clothing/flowers but leave the bones/skeleton grey.

These are usually things that get worked out before the tattoo starts. Good luck hope it works out.

yeah, but part of me just wanted to pull the trigger on it and get it started already...

everything's worked out so far though, even if it stayed like this i'd be very happy :)
