Usually a mix of 3-4 sets of the following exercises in different orders and complimenting reps (ie. if I do 10-12 pullups per set, I will do 6-8 pullovers)

Deadlifts, GM's, or Rack pulls (always first)
    Pullups (widegrip and military lockout)
    Pullovers
    High Rows
    BB Rows

I've tried pullovers before, they seemed alright. I liked straight-arm pulldowns better though.. didn't hurt my shoulders like pullovers did.

Is this the GM's you guys talk about:
Place a barbell on your shoulders. Keep your head up and your back completely straight. Bend at your waist with your legs locked, until your upper body is parallel to the floor. Return slowly to the upper position. Can also be done with your knees slightly bent.

It does take alot of energy out of you. But I like lifting heavy things along with being big.

back in the day, I used to do

    deads 5x5
    db rows 4x8
    shrugs 3x8
    pullups 3x max
    hyper extensions 3x8

    edit:

I would almost always end my day with deads

My knees end up bending just a little to help with balance, but not much at all.

If you haven't done it before or are using heavy weight, slightly bent knees would probably be the better choice.
