Okay, I'm getting solid thickness, but I'm trying to get a bit wider. I've been working my shoulders heavily, doing wide angle pullups, lat pull downs, bent over db rows, hanging clean presses, shrugs, db shoulder presses, t-bar rows, deadlifts, wide angle rows, seated cable pulls...

i'm assuming its the lats that i need to get to grow for the width to really take effect, well that and delts. any ideas, opinions, etc?

ah, solid. i have noticed that over time i am getting broader -- by stupid shit like running into doorframes when it used to not hit from that distance etc. hopefully you guys are right.

on a side note, i'm 3 days back on the bandwagon, (i broke my big toe, am wearing a big ass softcast boot), and people look at me really weird as i squat and do good mornings with the softcast. dedication what!?

Since i've been getting wider first, would it be safe to say that width brings thickness? I'm hoping for more thickness, although I have a theory that if i work my traps more, then ill get a bit thicker.

My traps are underdeveloped and since my grip sucks, I've been trying to do shrugs on the standing calf raise :hs:.

Just doing christophers for now, been doing it for a few months trying to get my numbers up. I'm still a superlightw8 though. Got from 130 to 161 and starting to plateau...I'm still good w/ his routine though although my numbers are sticking. I just need to get more calories in. I'm confident that the results will come in time. No rush for me...

yeah lats are what make you wide......its genetic how much

imo its better to get stuck in a doorway after turning sideways than straight ahead

Make sure you are using your lats when you flat bench and incline press, they will grow.

well my lats are gettin fairly large, i'm pretty happy with them. delts are a little small, traps are proportional (which makes me realize how much bigger i wanna be).

If I keep growing these muscles, they should start to grow wider to make room for the extra muscle tissue, correct? Or is that part of what you mean by genetic as to whether they grow out or wide?
