Is it bad if I split up my back workouts between upper back and lower back? Or will working one, one day be detrimental to the other on the other day?

For example, let's say I do dl's and hypers one day. How bad would that hurt my trap/lat work the next day?

Oh, and what about further splitting the upper back into two days for traps and lats?

Why not just do it all in one workout?

There are just so many back exercises :hs:

Rows, shrugs, pullups, pulldowns, deadlift, hypers, cg pulldown...

That's why you don't do them all. For example, doing pullups and pulldowns is redundant.

If I was gonna do back once a week, I would would rotate between pulling off the floor and rack pulls. Something like conventional dead on wk 1, rack pull wk 2, sumo dead wk 3, rack pull wk 4. Then something like chest supported rows or some other form of a row. Then something for the lower back and I be done for the day unless I was doing biceps or something else.

You can do upper back with shoulders if want. Just throw in some shrugs, face pulls, or upright rows if you so desire
