I've got some problems in the lower back (bone), and just yesterday, I felt some pains around the shoulder blade area. I'm pretty sure it's because of the bike-trial sport that I do, which basically uses a lot of the back to haul a 30-pound bike around (thrusting hips forward to make the bike jump forward). What can I do to make it better? Any workout routines? Vitamins? Stretching?

    Thanks.

P.S. I'm 16, so age isn't a matter. Kinda makes me nervous getting back pains at this age though...:hs:

If you're in pain, why would further exhausting yourself help? Rest. And you should be taking a multi anyway.

Do a lot of groin and hamstring stretches before you see a doctor, which you should do. Until then, rest.

As far as the future, weight or calisthenic training of the back muscles can do a lot as far as preventing this injury from reoccuring.
