I've upped my cardio back in october to 5-6 times a week to shed some body fat. But after a week my lower back was killing me, especially on my left side. Can anyone explain this pain i am feeling on my lower back.

    My cardio Schedule
45mins of stationary bike with low resistence in the morning at 9 am, and 45mins at night 9 pm.

My lower back gets stiff sometimes when doing cardio, eventually it went away or I got used to it. Check your posture too.

oh man, I know exactly what you mean. Earlier this summer I strained my lower back grappling (left side too) and I was just crippled. What helped a ton was doing reverse hypers and regular hypers like twice a week. Also make SURE that the chairs that you sit in are not too low, that can definitely contribute to the problem.

you didnt mention anything about weight lifting. you have to hit the weights when trying to burn body fat. it will aid in strengthening you lower back and stopping the infamous lower back pain. it will also go away when you get in better shape... you just gotta work thru it.

    and just for reference...

    12. I like the lower back workout I get from walking across the room.

I had the same problem when I started out as an out-of-shape fattie.

Deadlifts are all you need. Watch your form.
