As of today my back has been really hurting me. I'm not sure why it's in so much pain, but could lifting make it even worse? Should I not go and rest up? Could it be from the vertical squat machine I use that puts weight on your shoulders? Should i switch to the horizontal, slide one? I can't think of anything else I'm doing that is really killing my back.

    Dude, be careful.

I hurt my back doing improper deadlifts and crappy lawn work all summer.

I now have a bulging dick in my L4-L5 vertebrae :wtc:

If it's really bothering you, go to a doctor and at the very least take a break from lifting until it subsides

edit: I MEANT DISC YOU BROLY ASSHOLES :bowrofl:

    Be really careful.

I haven't been able to lift at all for like 6 monthes :)ugh: )

Now I have to do curls with an ez-curl bar while leaning against a wall with my back flat against it :wtc:

I can only do body squats with a stability ball behind be rolling up and down against a wall.

    It fucking SUCKS

What kind of pain is it? If it's a dull ache, you probably just overworked yourself. If it's a shooting pain, usually down your legs, then it might be a herniated disc. Are the muscles tender?

I think it's ok. I heated it with a pad for a while and it went away. I went and actually learned how to do proper leg workouts today. SO I'm glad I went. But during work today I moved some 50lb boxes that were 40x60 and when I did one I had an extreme pain in my upper back/shoulder almost so much I was going to just drop the box to end the pain.

I messed up my back in early January and I have not been able to go back to the gym. Only now have I started to notice that my back is getting better. :( I think I should be able to return soon. Some things that help the back are stretches and you can even try some pilates to strenghthen the core.
