About 2 months ago I hit a nasty plateu and I started hitting failiure a lot more often than I'd like. I thought I would take a break and I considered cutting. It worked great for a couple of weeks. I shed all my water weight and I lost a few pounds of fat, too. But as time progressed I started eating like shit and didn't work out as much. Here's how my weight has been these past few months:

    Dec - 195lbs
    Jan - 200lbs
    Feb - 215lbs
    Mar - 220lbs ( :wtc: )
    Aprl - 215lbs

I'm resorting back to the original christopher's routine I used to use. I'm sore as fuck today. Luckily my numbers haven't gone down too much, but it's tough getting through the entire workouts without having as much energy to expend as I used to (dirty bulking.) I'm motivated to lose weight now. I just want to get down to a reasonable weight for my height (I'd be very happy at 185, I'm 6'5") and whenever I get to that point I'm going to clean bulk through the rest of summer, and hopefully through next winter before cutting for the next summer. :hs:

I'm currently taking EC, and when this semester is over and I get back on a normal work schedule I'll start waking up early and taking YC in the morning as well. I'll be taking CEE too, but I wont' start that until next week probably.

That said, it's good to be back. :wavey:

185 at 6'5" is skinny, man.

Why aren't you more interested in bulking?

Because I dirty bulked and got way too fat. I hate saying this, but I just want to get lean-ish for summer. I'm not really aiming for a specific weight, I'm just going to keep lifting and cutting until I look and the mirror and look good with a shirt off. It's just a short term fix. After that I have a whole year to clean bulk. :dunno:

If you weigh 215 now, its gonna take you around 3-4 months to cut to 185. Thats 30lbs, even at a pace of 2lbs/week thats 15 weeks, and when you start getting low 2lbs/week gets harder and harder.

Good news though, you'll be awesomely cut for that last week of August!

I'm not saying don't go for it, but just be realistic about getting lean for summer and clean bulking for the remaining summer time.

edit: I have a 6'5 friend who weighs about 185-190 at about 10% and he looks anorexic.

Usually when I first start cutting I lose a good 6-7lbs of water weight in the first week. That's not an excuse or justification, I'm just explaining what's going through my head. I think if I got to 190 or even 195 I'd be at a point where I'd be comfortable enough to sit around without a shirt on. Like I said, I'm not going to wait until I hit that magical number 185 before I start bulking again, I just want to get leaner as I go through summer. :hs:

Like I said I'd be happy with 190-ish. This is me at 215 around March '05:

And here's me in early July that same year at 195. I lost all of that weight strictly with diet and virtually no exercise:

Since I don't have an extraordinary amount of muscle mass, 20lbs goes a long way for me. :dunno:

damn dude, those 20lbs changed you a whole bunch. I think its the hair cut. You look better in the second pic with the haricut and your pants pulled up. 185 seems real skinny for 6'5. do what you got to do though.

You must have hollow bones or something.

    I'm ~6'3". Currently 230 but I think I'd be very cut at 215.

I don't have a very solid build right now. My back has filled out a little bit since those pics, but I don't have a very good base right now. If I had been lifting consistently for a year 215 would probably be fairly lean for me, too.

Fair enough, although I certainly don't consider myself built.

Good luck in leaning out. I'd go the other route personally (getting big), but whatever works for you.
