Picked her up at the gun show today, a Mosin-Nagant M44 from 1944. The bore and everything is literally in mint condition I was really surprised. I paid $110, but that also included a cleaning kit, bolt takedown and setup tool, depth gauge, ww2 era sling, some dual pouch thing, bayonet, double oil bottle, and some other miscellaneous accessories.

nice wood, I never been to a gun show, but I plan to over the summer. So you can pick up your gun that same day? In cali, I believe we have a 10 day waiting period. Plus all those other fees.

I feel like the last person in WMD that doesn't have a Nagant carbine. Might have to change that I guess :dunno:

I bought this from a private person at the gun show, it doesn't matter what you buy, you can just bring it home that day as long as you buy it from a private person, but if you buy from an FFL/dealer at the gun show you gotta wait 5 days.

Your mind will quickly change if you shoot one, there's nothing like shooting a Nagant or other similar C&R rifle. This thing shoots a 3 foot long fireball out the muzzle in the dark.

How do you guys load it... each round one by one by hand, or 5 round stripper clips? and where is a good place to buy reusable stripper clips for it?

It's nothing to me but money that could be better spent :dunno:

It really wouldn't serve any purpose.

Where exactly do I spray the windex, just in the bore and barrel and then run a boresnake or whatever through it?
