Pretty large show at Dallas Market Hall. As usual I found prices to be outrageous for the most part- quite a few dealers selling new Saigas (the 5.56 version) for 550-600 bucks.

Picked up a Beretta 9000S Type F in .40 for the wife.
Pistol, 3 mags and a cheap little holster for $350. Box of Gold Dots for $23

    Obligatory pic:

New in the box from Izmash. Oh, a couple had funky muzzle breaks, but not $200 worth. There were some tricked out, but I didn't even bother to look at 'em. On the flip side one company had new DPMS Ar-15's with flatops for $695. 16" with collapsable stocks.

Thanks! Just hope she likes it. I'd just HATE to have to keep it and buy her yet another one.

Nah, there were a couple of dealers that were selling them for 329-350. Those are the only tables I'd stop at to look at their items. Saw a couple of Saiga 12 gauges, but the cheapest one, new in box and unmodified was $500.

My fondness for guns and shooting declines after every gunshow I attend. I see all sorts of bad stereotypes playing themselves out again and again every time I go (racists, gangbangers, those that live the paranoia lifestyle to excess, and crackpots).

These were impossible to find 3-6 months ago. Today, every dealer that carried any variety of AKs and ARs had them. I almost bought one for $510, but decided to be responsible instead.

6+ months ago they were less than $500 and nearly a year ago they were closer to $400. Should have bought one then :hs:

Single-action revolvers seem to be getting cheaper, otherwise... :dunno:

Tell that to all the jerks selling "less than 1000 rounds through her!" pistols on gunbroker with only stock accessories for retail price, and wondering why no one places any bids.

my favorite from the gunshow was the old guy holding what appeared to be a 9mm 1911 and telling the two gentlemen at his table that the very pistol he held, killed 2 Vietcong.....but of course, there were no "papers" to prove it, but rest assured, it was definitely a vc killer.

goddamn I want to sell my guns after I go to the gunshow. Asshat gangters walking around with their AR pistols, AK underfolders with their finger on the trigger while dragging around their kids.

The only positives were that XDs and Sigs were pretty cheap.....didn't pay attention to anything else really as I don't need a confederate flag, a "original boys in the hood" shirt, or any tapco shit.

I thought the show fucking sucked.

Came empty handed, left the same. I think Im pretty much done with shows, except for the huge Tulsa show.

usually cheaper for me to buy my rifle items online. Handguns I'd rather buy from bass pro as long as they have what I want. the "rewards points" usually make it a better deal to buy from them anyway

Same gun show will be back in town November 29th and 30th. Dallas Arms Collectors puts that one on. Depending on who wins the election it could be a very interesting show. The people that had the cheap DPMS rifles stated they were out at the Fort Worth show all the time and that happens about twice a month.

Dallas Arms Collector's gunshow is sadly the best one in the area. The Fort Worth Gun Show is worse, and I'll never go to a Classic Shows event ever again. 'Never been to the one in Mesquite, but I hear it's even less special than the others...

How about a blatantly illegal $40 "double-action" OTF switchblade? Clearly, that has risen to the level of necessity.

Do you know any more specifics on the DPMS rifles?

Do you know anything about the upcoming show in Big Town?
