i felt the same way for a month after returning home. i loved it there.

i'm not combat arms, i just loved the feeling of being anonymous and being in the middle of fucking nowhere.

It takes a while to adjust man.

Just give it time and enjoy having friends/family around.

Its going to take awhile for you to get used to not having to be on a heighten state of alert. Even if you were in the green zone.

How long have you been back?

I run the PDHRA (Post Deployment Health Reassessment) program from the National Guard, if you need any information on how to get past that "empty" feeling like me know. Don't be prideful or think you are being a pussy. Not getting help when you need it would really be playing the PUSSY role.

    ...and welcome home Warrior.

I felt the same way too when I got back the first time. I'm aircrew so I don't see combat like the grunts do, but I think it was the fact that I came back and friends/fellow Marines still stayed back. You'll get over it soon enough, or you'll be going back there soon enough. I've been wanting to go back, I'm overdue. Last time I was out there was in 06.

its almost back to normal.. things are finally settling down.. and i am sure part of it is the sudden amounts of real life stress to deal with again..
