how are these guns, i told myself the first pistol i ever bought would be a Beretta or an HK, but these are growing on me for some reason

i've put a few rounds through a .40 Baby Eagle. Well made and reliable, accuracy was more than acceptable if not impressive.

Nothing really extraordinary about it, but nothing bad either. i personally think there are better choices out there, but i'd rely on one if i had to or was able to pick it up really cheap.

i think most beagles are near 400, which is pretty cheap. and its no frill, point and shoot gun. my friend has 9mm full size which is heavy but it shoots very smooth.

Honestly, I love it. Hasn't jammed on me yet and I've dozen a thousand rounds down it easy.

Even handles +P+ loads with no issues.

Not a great CW due to bulk, but other than that I have no issues with it.

The Jericho aka Baby Eagle has always been made by Israeli Military Industries (IMI). It's been imported under both the names Jericho and Baby Eagle by Uzi/Mossberg and Magnum Research. MR is the current importer.

In the price range, i'd probably be favoring a Springfield XD out of mostly personal preference and a somewhat easier time obtaining aftermarket nightsights. Or perhaps a used/refurb Glock 19/23/32. i'd be tempted if i found a .45 Baby Eagle with those accessory rails though. :big grin:

Like i said though, it's not a bad choice at all. Another part of the reason i can't say better about it is there simply aren't many for sale around here and it doesn't really stand out enough or do anything better than the Glock or XD, to be worth hunting around for one. If you have one close by making love to your palm for a good price, give it a whirl. :bigthumb:

also how does this one rate with the CZ75?

and what exactly made the CZ75 so good, i have heard alot of good things about this pistol, and i know its widely copied, ala jericho.

Some one told me Beagle is pretty much identical dup of CZ75, and i must say my gun fits my hand pretty damn well. and because mine is 9mm and full steel, recoil is almost nil. it is my first gun, and it was easy enough to get started with, nothing complicated and easy to maintain (me lazy with clean up).

and yes my gun weighs near 2 and half pounds.
