Anyone familiar with these? Looking for a new 9mm. This is NOT my first gun. I've owned a Glock 17, have a 1911 right now.

No experience, but I've heard fairly good things about them. Apparently pretty solid.

supposedly pretty good from what I've heard. Heavy, but solid.

Is the Baby Eagle the same thing as the Jericho 941?

So I went to the store to take a look at one last night. Wouldn't you know it; they don't have the caliber I want. I checked out a used .40, and I think I'm in love.

While I was there though, the guy behind the counter pointed out a newer semi-auto, the FN FNP. This is the first time I've heard of this gun. Price is damn cheap ($376) which makes me wonder.

Pretty good price. CDNNs are 420something.

From what I've read, its essentiall the exact same thing as a CZ-75. Much like how the Walther PPK, Bersa Thunder, and Makarov are all very very similar. Not interchangable, but very similar in design, function and appearance.

I suggest you take a look at a CZ-75 if you want to save your money.

Otherwise, I have a friend that swears by Baby Eagles, and I have heard alot of good about them.

+1 one of my friends swears by that and his .50 Desert Eagle..but I think it's funny cause his main carry is a Taurus sub compact 45. Mainly cause he says you really gotta keep the DE/BE's clean.

I have heard good things about the BEs as well and I wanted one right up until I actually held one and handled it. I have less than large hands and it is difficult for me to thumb the safety so I won't have one. That said, everyone I know whose hands it fits seems to like it well. I still think the safety is in an awkward place/direction but.... They are indeed very heavy and I can't really see carrying one.
