Aight, so here's the deal, the B&M Shift+ for the 4T60E looks way too simple be little more than a couple resistors, maybe a diode and a cap thrown in there for good measure hehe. So does anyone know exactly what's in the little box that is about 12" from the switch?

If you have one and want to take pics and measurements for me, that'd be great.

Just a word of advice, I had one of those on my Firebird way back when I was in high school. Totally worthless piece of junk. It made the thing shift like a truck. :ugh:

If you want to improve shifts and feel, get a real shift kit.

There is no conventional shift kit made for the 4T40E (small brother to the 4T60E), hence why there are the electronic shift controllers, such as the Shift+.

I've heard quite a few people rave about these.

I'm probably looking for what you describe as "shifting like a truck", I want harder shifts, I hate slushboxes. ;)

Sorry, I should clarify. I meant it felt very slow and vague shift points.

Don't know what to tell you. Good luck.

Hmm, ok, I'll keep that in mind....

By "vague" you mean no real pattern to RPM shifting point for gears, even with the same throttle position?

Exactly. At times, it would almost "short shift", I would go full throttle and then it would jump into the next gear before the redline.

Of course, this was on a 4L60E tranny, which is rear drive and a totally different transmission. You may have more luck on yours.
