Everytime someone asks about 5X5, they're told to go to the archives but I couldn't find anything there...

Anyway, I found this website which talks about 5X5, there's also an excel spreadsheet over there.

    http://www.geocities.com/elitemadcow1/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm

Now, since I did not manage to find the thread on 5X5, I was wondering if this is the program you guys are talking about.

Also, I tried my hardest to find info on bent barbell rows, but all I saw were youtube videos of people using too much weight and rocking their bodies back and forth. i.e.: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jp03NsJWE4 This guy claims he has good form, does that mean my back doesn't have to be parallel to the ground at the top of the lift?

I have another question abour barbell rows. Should my palms face the roof or the floor when I grip the bar? I don't know which type of grip is the best.

Its harder for the palms to face ground and told it is the right way to do it. Ive also felt taht I feel it alot more on my back...with palms facing roof I feel it alot on my biceps(keeping good form and not curling at all)...kinda weird.

Thats the variation im doing minus some minor details. U go squat 3 times a week and then tell us how "little" it is.

Im starting it tonight...wish me's luck.

Its gonna feel weird going from 1,000 exercise and 2 body a day(5 days a week) to so "little" exercise's 3 times a week.:wiggle:

Ya thats what i thought when i switched from a routine with a crapload of accessory work. Its gonne kick your ass if you actually try and do everyhting you can. The routine is , setting a pr every week really really motivates you.

If you do everything the way your supposed to do it, its not gonna feel like a "little" exercise at all. You have to realize your pretty much doing your 5RM on mostly everything.

Even if I really cant go all I can in bench since a chest? Thats the one Im kinda worried about..with not being enough...since once I go anything over 175 on bench...my shoulder feel like its going to go out. Old shoulder injury ftl.

How do you do this properly without smaller increments of weights?

Thanks for the reply guys, whoever posted some helpful stuff. I have one last question about the routine, would it be bad to do 5X5 military press on day 1 (monday), and do the incline bench on day 2? On the website I posted, the guy said to either to incline bench or military press. I'd do the military press there, but since the dumbells at my gym only increase in intervals of 5lbs, it would be impossible to increase the weight every week. So, would the minor addition of military presses on day 1 be fatal to the program? Shoulders are one of my weak points, so I'd like to hit them harder.
