NOTE: No face to face transfers of "assault" weapons.

This bill is even worse than the original.

Last I checked, Bush has hardly veto'd any bills and said he would support another AWB.

Time to order some AK mags.

there is a grandfather clause so stock up on all the guns and mags you can afford between now and 2008....is it just me or does it seem like most people on the street dont want guns banned but the politicians have their own agenda and wanna do it anyway?

Most people don't want guns banned, but they want "assault" weapons banned because of the reputation they have thanks to their "evil" looks and the way movies/media portray them to the uninformed.

Once again too many people with their head up their ass want to ruin it for the law abiding citizens

one of these WILL pass eventually. If not this one, then one later on, and probably soon. People do not want semi-automatic weapons to exist except in the hands of military (and criminals). Every single non-shooter I've asked (and lots of "hunters") all say the same thing "oh sure, you should be able to own guns, but why do you need THAT?! Are you going to kill people?"

Hunters are some of the worst people in this reguard, because they are gun owners who are anti-gun oriented.

Try discussing gun ownership to protect us from our own government with some people -- you'll be branded as a psychopath.

    It's all very depressing.

Say this does pass, how long do we have before it's made a law? How much time do I have to save up and buy an AR15 and a shitload of mags to go with it?

just buy the recievers and mags now for ar/ak's, thats all that consists of a 'gun' to the atf anyways. its much cheaper to buy 5 stripped lowers then it is to buy 5 complete ar's. same deal with ak recievers, just more complicated. i think im going to pick up a few lowers for ar's.

Basically any usual brand for $100

Receiver doesnt matter much. Just personal preference on finish and stuff.
It matters what you put in it.

Out of curiousity, how much could you expect them to go for after the ban?
