I want an AK so bad, I just can't figure out if I want 7.62, 5.45, or 5.56 :wtc:

:werd: that's going to be the next gun I buy. I may just stock up on the ammo now though.

dont do that... if you wait a little while, prices will come down even further. give it a few months. im buying the gun now, and maybe a case. the rest ill wait to drop in price.

I have a few 7.62's and 2 5.45's I still need a 5.56, I like shooting 5.45 over the 7.62, its more accurate and almost zero recoil. At the moment 5.45 is cheapest ammo and magazine wise, 5.56 being the most expensive ammo and mag wise.

Well I'm actually picking up a Ruger 22/45 tomorrow so there goes some of my gun fund for a little while.

How do you figure the prices will go down? Is there more surplus being imported now? I don't know much about it so fill me in :)

    That there is.
I`m still going to order a few K`s just for shits n giggles.
I`ve only got like 250 rds of 5.45 and i`ll run that off pretty easly in 1 trip.

yes, there are about a million rounds per MONTH coming in for the next 6-7 months. if you dont buy, dealers will be forced to drop prices. they are locked in with the distributors by contract, so they cant stop importing until the contract is up.

I like 5.45 but the thing I question is, if shit hits the fan and the Reptilians invade, how would I get ahold of more ammo? If I had 5.56 I wouldn't be as worried.

Stock up while its cheap. But yeah if your on the move I'd rather have a 5.56 will be alot easier to scrounge up ammo when what ya have runs low.

I have no desire to own a gun that I need to clean every 200 rounds. To me that defeats the whole purpose of having a battle rifle, and as expensive as piston AR uppers are, the Masada is a better choice in the end.

Considering the (claimed) extremely short timeframe between concept and reality for the Masada, it will be interesting to see how it works out.

Masada looks cool and has a lot of included features that you'd ordinarily need to accesorize a rifle for ... but it doesn't exist yet. I think I'm going to wait to see how the bleeding edge fares with it first.
