AVI to GIF

    Hey what do you guys use to convert avi video to gif? Free is always good...

    why would you want to do this? It's possibly the silliest conversion ever. hey, let's make 20MB gifs and post them :rolleyes:

    FOR TEH FUNNY!

    easiest way i've found to do it is to use ulead gif animator. it'll let you import the video directly into frames and you can save it as a gif. i don't know how to optimize in ulead and i'm too lazy to learn, so i just save as a high quality gif...throw that into imageready and optimize it there to get the filesize down

    You want something free and legally free; good luck with that.
    I found 2 but they install spyware that has to be remained installed for them to work.

    Ahh.. Doesn't sound too bad. The entire video is 6 megs, so no 20 meg gif... It's my buddy doing an irish jig with a green hat on... He looks retarded - perfect avatar material. ;)

    How did you import an avi into gif? I am also using imageready and want to do this.
