No, more than that. There is a formula that you should have x amount of protein for every x amount you weigh.... I don't know it though

    Assuming you exercise...

    1. Weight in pounds divided by 2.2 = weight in kg.
    2. Weight in kg x 0.8-1.8 gm/kg = protein gm.

DAMN IT protein is not some sort of steroid or supplement, it is FOOD, you can not "start with too much" or some stupid crap like that. 1g/lb-bodyweight is fine, there is NO need to worry about getting "too much" protein.

    1g/lb of bodyweight is fine.
You can't eat too much of it.
Protein will not give you liver problems.
Protein is needed to build muscle.
No one here cares about av's.
Don't ask for advice and then question it if you don't know anything.

    MOST IMPORTANT:
    read this to understand protein:

when i received my ON whey protein, this brochure says the average american needs .5g protein per body weight daily. athletes consume 1g-1.5g per day while serious body builders take in 2g or even more.

i usually take in at least 1g and never less on training days.

remember that you need to consume protein thruout the day, taking all 100g within 1 serving wouldnt be a great idea.

unless you are already suffering from liver failure, even abnormally high levels of protein aren't going to cause any problems.

Read the 4 part article I posted... Lyle is one of the smartest people in the world when it comes to this stuff.

I think hes talking about protein supplements... cause you get way more than 50 from just regular eating in a day
