super slow 75-300 IS (has been very soft so far too  )
    Cheap-o quantaray cir. polarizer

  2. I donno there's just soemthing about them that I dont like. I wanna say noise but I don't think that's it. You should post higher resolution.

But of all the pics soo far I know that no one will argue when I say the M3 hard top pic is the best of the bunch. :bigthumb:

yeah, i think i got a little carried away with USM in PS :uh:

Noticed the same thing after posting them.
I love the reflection in the m3, but i wish the cockpit was a bit lighter inside

  4. If you really wanted to you could duplicate the background, lasso the cockpit and adjust the levels, then erase any over lasso'd parts and your cockpit could be lighter.

But personally I think the picture is fine and doesnt need anymore editing. :bigthumb:

btw did you take anymore pics?
I had press passes for the Initial D Drift competition in NJ a few weeks ago but couldnt go because of the gf always being jealous. but it's all good. I wish I coulda went and took these kinda pics though! :hsd:

Were you using AI Servo? What kind of shutter speeds you putting down? :)

p.s. WAY too much USM. If a shot wasn't sharp to begin with, throw it away. :)

Some nice shots! These shots are pretty hard to take without the right lens for that much movement and stuff... but still looks cool.

I've never been to an autox before, but thos ehsutter speeds should be fast enough to freeze some serious action if you're panning correctly. What's your technique broly?

BTW, don't blame the lens because I use a 8 yr old Sigma lens to pan :run:

pan with your hips not your shoulders, track them from start to end

it's harder to pan when the car is coming straight at you...
you should be able to use a slower shutter speed...i shoot my bike track days at 1/250 :o and they are haulin balls
