the aw sim is an illegal machine gun guys.

you hold down the paddle and fire more than one round. its as simple as that. the manufacturer gave false info to atf to gain a false approval letter to sell them. who submits a device for a 1919 and tells atf to try it on an m1, sks or ak?

been discussed over and over on 1919a4.info people with monetary interest in it turn a blind eye to the obvious illegal machinegun status of the aw-sim. no one seems to understand the concept of the word, trigger.

Well the big question becomes what do you call the trigger? the part that releases the sear? or the lever that your finger touches?

agreed that the NFA needs to be abolished, but i doubt that'll ever happen. At a minimum, repeal the May 1986 ban on new machineguns. That'd cure a lot of problems in itself.

the trigger is the part where the human initiates the firing sequence. aka wherever you touch to fire the gun. in the aw sim case, it is the paddle of the 1919 version and the new trigger on teh ak version. watch the vids, the finger or trigger do not move = machinegun.

Indeed. As the other poster said, it's the part you touch. See the letter on the string trick. The loop in the string you put your finger through is the trigger per ATF.

Since someone will ask, and information isn't illegal...you take a shoestring and either tie a loop in it or put a key ring or something you can fit your finger in in one end, tie the other end around the cocking handle of your AK. The string wraps around the back of the receiver, up the left side, through the trigger guard, back to trigger hand. Pull string, it causes gun to fire. String goes slack when bolt recoils, allowing the trigger to return forward. String goes taught when bold goes back forward, and hits the trigger than has already reset. Someone wrote a letter to ATF and they responded that the shoestring itself was an illegal machine gun, since it was a kit designed to convert a gun to fully automatic.
