Okay I have a batch of 300 pdf files that were scanned in at a high resolution. The files are 24"x26" and are 16 meg files.

What I'm looking to do is an automator that will do the following:

    Open the file
    Open the Print Dialog
On the bottom right click save as pdf
    and save the file.

I did one of those record your own automator things, but it only works for the file I opened, not for all the files in the folder..

My guess would be to have a finder section before your recorded actions. Have it gather the files in the folder and then run your actions. Maybe that will help you. I'm starting to learn automator as well, and its kind of a pain in the @ss sometimes.

Do you have Photoshop? I'm pretty sure this can be easily accomplished with a batch action.

Sure can, they'll be saved as photoshop PDFs instead of generic PDFs though.
