I'm making a little webpage and burning it on a cd. It's basically my portfolio. I need to send it to people that potentially know DICK about computers. Considering they probably don't have flash installed and php installed locally i'm left with html. So I coded it in html and just clean images no css. I'm going to burn it on a cd, any ideas guys on how it could open automatically so they didnt need to know which file to open and it was simple? All suggestions considered. Free gmail invites to anyone that helps. Thanks in advance. :bigthumb:

i dont think sending a CD out helps. i know many of my old bosses were always leary about putting some unknown persons "resume" into their CD drive, esp if it could contain mallicious files.

:werd: I'd say it's a better idea to build a portfolio online (password protect it if you like) and then send the URL to it with your resume (along with the username/password if you are protecting it).

Hm but I really need to send this as a cd, like its a must. Any ideas? You are just as much of at risk to getting a virus/spyware from viewing a webpage as you are viewing a cd.

Only if you use Windows and IE. I wouldn't assume that someone does either, but that's just me :dunno:

There are indeed. However, Linux and Firefox are harder to exploit than Windows and IE and as long as you're not running as root you won't do any serious damage to a Linux box.

similarly to not using "administrator" on windows....

again, please do not judge the platform due to the lack of a users ability to work it.
