Why shoot 5.56 when you can shoot 7.62 x 54R
i've stared at those pics for a while and the most positive thing i could think of is that someone finally made something that's uglier than a hi-point(pistols, not the carbines)
7.62x54r is actually a balistically amazing round. That rifle, however, is not.
Cool idea, horrible execution.
Looks like it's 20lbs
It's the best because it's been used for over 100 years in combat
So.... would you rate it better, or worse than a 30-30?
It has more knockdown power than a 30-30.
Hmmm.... Interesting. Which one do you think would be more accurate?
I still think that they couldn't compare to a 308. The military uses it for sniper rifles, and even the SEALS use it.
I want to build a sniper rifle to shoot 1000 yards with, and obviously I need something accurate. I also want to hunt with it, so I need something with a lot of knockdown power.
Actually the Seals just use the HK MK23 as their primary weapon. The .45 bullet is bigger, therefor better than the .308 bullet.
You probably want a 7.62x54. I watched Enemy at the Gates and the sniper Mosin was super accurate.
Hey, Mosin/7.62x54r bashing going on in this thread. Who would have guessed that would happen in this sub forum?
Is it still a tactical reload if the bolt hits you in the face?
