Audison is a good brand. Brax is also highly regarded or even JL slash series since you are using a JL woofer. Have you considered either of those brands?

I've heard of Braxx but I've never been able to find a dealer..

I don't think I'm firmiliar with the JL Slash line.. but I'll check it out..

    Thanks..

Can't say i've ever considered Brax and JL to be in the same category...both are solid amps though. The only Audison amp i ever heard sounded amazing as well. I'll also throw Tru Technology into the mix, they're new but very nice amps.

Looking for a bit better tonal quality. IMHO the Alpine amp's while good seem to add to much to the sound stage. Alrting the image and shape of the sound. I'm also looking for better build quality as one of the Alpine's has already been in the shop..

Thanks again for all the help..

If you're looking for better tonal quality, consider a new equilizer or new speakers. If your soundstage is off, you might want time correction, and better left right fading abilities. Or the soundstage problem could be a problem with your speaker frequency response too.

You might also want to look into repositioning your speakers.
