I have 4.1 speakers. Connecting with 1/8green and 1/8 black.

When I used my old Sblive card they would work perfectly fine and all was good. I just tried using my onboard and the speakers work fine - but the subwoofer isn't really working. When I turn up the bass in EQ it just makes the speakers get all distorted with extra bass. The onboard sound is 6 channel so I was wondering if there's any way to make it realise there's a subwoofer? I've tried the program settings that came with it and everything.

why are you downgrading to onboard audio? Your SBLive is likely better, unless you have the new Intel HD Audio, or something.

I assumed it was better since it's new and the soundcard is 3 years old?

I guess I'm wrong.. and my SBLive is 3 hours away so I can't get it yet.

    O well.
