Making a parody song for work, and I have minimal audio editing experience. I want the beat to be section A and I want to take various pieces of spoken words to be scattered throughout the beat.

Right now, I have to make a separate section for each spoken speech section (like B and C). I would like to have the spoken parts on one section (I would like what's on part C to be on part B), but every time I try that, it sticks the audio part I'm pasting to the end of the last section on part B. .

How can I keep that from happening?:dunno:

Awww Audacity... Love or hate it?

I gave up on that program for reasons just like that, and switched to cakewalk.

After jacking around with it for a while, I fixed the problem by making a track of pure silence and that allowed me to move sections around without them sticking together.

How's Cakewalk? I've heard pretty good things.
