    ...educate me on weapon cases

i want to get a case for my 870 and upcoming AR15.

i've been looking at these as options:

:dunno: does anyone have a preference?

    some things im looking for:

-soft case (not hard plastic like pelican)
    -padding (duh)
-some type of divider to carry multiple long guns i.e. 870 + AR15
-some type of retention straps on the interior to secure said long guns

:wavey: hopefully you guys can help me out. i dont need something that costs a million bagillion dollars, but i also dont want a POS uncle mikes case.

i have one made by bulldog cases that looks like that second one you posted. the AR fits nicely and the ciener kit fits in the little pouch on the front.

    www.gunaccessories.com/BullDog/assltcases.asp

dont buy from that site though, i think they're only 30 at midway but they're sold out :hs:

edit: nm, missed the part about you wanting to carry 2 guns in the 1 case. :hs:

    a while back about cases.....

Got mine at Cheaper than Dirt for less than $30 I think....

Pistols fit inside the pockets....had them outside to show how I shove them in there

Everything you see there fits comfortably in the bag

spankaveli that one looks kinda good, but no dice on the double weapons :hs:

richk, do you think it would be possible to carry two long guns in the case? perhaps with some slight modification (addition of foam cell divider?)

another thing, it needs to be at least 40" long :hs:

I wouldn't try to stuff two long guns in there. 40"....don't think it'll fit.

78 is a bit more than i'd like to spend on a bag :o :hs: it doesnt have to be the most durable, badass bag on earth. im just using it for transport from home to the range.

however, i would like something that holds some accessories. the molle case looks great and is priced right :hs:

edit: more pics of your bag?

do you think there'd be enough room in the outside pocket for a handgun magazine pouch and one of those little pistol cases:

you know, i can't justify spending that much on a bag :o i'll give a call to the places that have that molle case out of stock and see when they expect one in, or if i can order one :x:

for $30, what it offers can't be beat. plus, its exponentially better than cheap $20 wolf or uncle mikes cases (which would be a distant second place).

well, in all honesty you COULD extent the stock a bit, but i agree; it wouldnt take up another foot
