    Cons/Pros of ownership?

I just noticed used ones are well in my price range. The only problem is they don't fit my 6 cylinder requirement. :hs:

    i'm curious too!

it's within my price range too, but i dont' know if i'd be able to make the transition from 5ppl SUV/TRUCK to 2ppl Convertible.

it's that whole convertible top that kinda scares me. :o

I like the torque from at least a 6 cylinder.

If you are over 5'9" the car is gonna be small. As I am 6'3" and when I was in one, the thing was obivously ment for someone of petite stature.

from what other ppl told me...biggest concerns are the lack of trunk space...and the lack of down low torque...but when the car winds up its a very fun and exciting car to drive. But if it snows in ur area and its ur only car I woulnd't buy one

I know power to weight ratio, but in the case of the s2000, all the torque comes in at HIGH rpms. I like the smooth torque delivery in a 6 cylinder. Right now I have my eyes on the following cars. All are 6 cylinder RWD cars.

    In order of want:

    NSX
    Supra
    Boxster
    BMW 330
    G35

    umm a used S2k is around 20-25k

Where would you be able to get any of those cars you listed for that price range? Unless it had HIGH mileage, which in that case pick the S2k.

    Drive one, youll be hooked.

Im 6'3, when I drove it, yeah it was a little cramped, but I was fine. Most people have their seats reclined to almost ricer obtuse angles, whereas mine is almost 90 degrees. Habit i picked up somewhere, i dunno. Push the seat all the way back, and its fine.

One thing i ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY hated, were those rectangle blocks in the middle of the floor. Fucking gay.

But yeah, drive one. If you buy one, get a hardtop. They are truly amazing cars to drive.

My buddy just finished buying a USED 01 S2k w/ about 33k miles on it for $23k OTD from Honda with 100k mile warranty. I see them all day long for 17-25k depending on mileage/condition.

The one thing IMO you need to worry about when buying a used S2K is the rear differential - They're known to go out, especially if beat on - Luckily, your avg S2K owner who bought the car new is old or a young professional which HOPEFULLY would have some common sense.

Very fun car to drive - Fuck low end torque - Once you hit 6000 RPM you can ride that all the way to 9K - not many cars can do that out the factory, very fun car to drive

I REALLY want a ride/drive of one of the new 2.2Ls. Dynoing @ 245 WHP off the dealer's lot is NICE. Especilaly on a 240 crank HP rated car.

:werd: Pimp shit if those dyno #s are correct.

Alot of people assume they added the .2L to make tq for the american public, by my theory (after seeing the new dyno #s) is that they added the .2L to make more overall power and take down the 350Zs. :o
